The event is organized as part of the European City of Science Katowice 2024.
Join us for an architectural tour – we will present one of the most important extracurricular educational institutions in Katowice – the Palace of Youth. The tour aims to present the history of the facility and its scientific, sports, artistic, and library activities, as well as its unique architecture, designed by Zygmunt Majerski and Julian Duchowicz.
This is the inauguration of the entire series of tours presenting educational facilities in Katowice, including: the Academy of Fine Arts, the Krzysztof Kieślowski Film School at the University of Silesia, and the Center for Scientific Information and Academic Library – CINiBA, etc. These events are aimed at all residents of Katowice and other cities who want to expand their knowledge of both historical and contemporary architecture and learn about the specifics of university building architecture. The entire series will be carried out in cooperation with the Association of Polish Architects in Katowice.
