Spotlights. An Interdisciplinary Look at the Architectural Heritage of Upper Silesia in the Second Half of the 20th Century is the first volume of a planned monographic series being undertaken by the Silesian Library. The volume is an introduction, preparing the reader – particularly younger people or those from outside the region – to perceive, understand and broaden their assessment of the history and post-war architecture of Upper Silesia.

Spotlights presents each subject from the perspective of history, art history, architecture, sociology and anthropology, creating an interdisciplinary and multidimensional image.

Spotlights. The Architectural Heritage of Upper Silesia from the Second Half of the Twentieth Century was published in 2017 and received the Minister of Investment and Development Award in 2018.
