On the Night of Museums, May 18th, 2024, our Institute and the House of Education of the Silesian Library transformed into the “House of Secrets” for a themed scavenger hunt organized by us.
The main theme of our game was to discover which valuable item had disappeared from the House of Education of the Silesian Library. Participants traveled back in time multiple times, learning fascinating details about our building and the history of 20th-century architecture in Silesia.
Simultaneously, at our Institute, attendees could listen to Ph.D Jacek Kamiński discussing the architecture of Katowice. The presented slides allowed participants to see what the city looked like before the construction of landmarks such as Spodek, the Roundabout, and the pavilions on Chorzowska and Mikołowska Streets.
