We are pleased to inform you that on September 8, 2023, the sanatorium and spa complex Ustroń-Zawodzie (designed by Henryk Buszko, Aleksandra Franta, and Tadeusz Szewczyk) was entered into the register of monuments for the Silesian Voivodeship under number A/1257/23.
We are even more delighted because we, in collaboration with the Provincial Office for the Protection of Monuments in Katowice, initiated this entry. Additionally, in conjunction with the Faculty of Architecture at the Silesian University of Technology, we authored the “Conservation-Historical Study of the Zawodzie District in Ustroń,” which served as the basis for assessing the value of the complex and determining the boundaries of the entry.
The Institute of Architecture Documentation, in cooperation with the Department of Theory, Design, and Architectural History RAR-3, consistently collaborates with the Silesian Conservator of Monuments, preparing opinions and research papers related to the protection of our region’s architectural heritage.
