REGULATIONS FOR THE USE OF THE COLLECTIONS
of the Institute of Architecture Documentation (IDA)
- The Archive collections may only be accessed on-site, at the premises of IDA.
- Access to the collections is granted upon prior inquiry (ida@bs.katowice.pl) and after arranging a convenient appointment.
- Archival materials are provided by the staff member on duty at the Archive and presented to the user in a designated area.
- Only designated IDA staff members are permitted to enter the storage areas where the collections are kept.
- Digitized collections may be made available online.
- The number of items made available and the manner of access are determined on a case-by-case basis by the staff member on duty, depending on the condition and availability of the archival materials.
- Users may make copies of materials free of charge using their own equipment; however, the use of tripods, additional lighting, or any actions such as unbinding or disassembling documents is prohibited, and all copying must be carried out in a manner that does not adversely affect the condition of the materials.
- The terms and conditions for the publication of IDA materials are governed by a separate, detailed set of regulations.
