Projekt: \u201eA collection of film portraits of architects of Upper Silesia from the second half of the 20th century\u2019 presents profiles of the following architects: Stanis\u0142aw Niemczyk, Marek and Ewa Dzieko\u0144ski, Jerzy Witeczek, Janusz and Bo\u017cena W\u0142odarczyk, all representatives of post-war architecture in Upper Silesia, and also architect Tadeusz Barucki \u2013 art historian and documentarian \u2013 who sets out the achievements of world architecture of that period.\u201d <\/span><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n

He is one of the most famous architects and travellers of the second half of the 20th century, researching, documenting and popularising the achievements of world architecture in Poland, and promoting Polish architecture in the world \u2013 \u2018ambassador\u2019 and \u2018window to the world\u2019 to the post-war architectural community of Eastern Europe.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

Marek and Ewa Dzieko\u0144ski are one of several pairs of architects who, together with Hanna Adamczewska and Kazimierz Wejchert, Maria and Andrzej Czy\u017cewski, and Bo\u017cena and Janusz W\u0142odarczyk, co-created the town of Nowe Tychy.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n

One of the most outstanding and original creators of Polish contemporary architecture. Born in Czechowice-Dziedzice, he graduated from the Faculty of Architecture at the Cracow University of Technology (1968) and spent most of his professional and family life in Tychy.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n

At the end of the 1950s, at the invitation of Kazimierz and Hanna Wejchert, they came to Upper Silesia where they linked their professional and private lives during the construction of the new Tychy. Their joint projects and implementation of educational, residential, service, commercial and sacred buildings have become a permanent feature of the town\u2019s landscape and that of many other towns in the Silesian voivodeship.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n
